WILD RIVERS - UPDATE April 2017. On April 25, 2017 The Orange County Great Park Board voted to direct staff to negotiate directly with Wild Rivers to bring our water park back to the City of Irvine! What that means is that Wild Rivers and the Great Park will be working exclusively with one and another to bring Wild Rivers back to Irvine. We are targeting a May 2019 opening date! There will be more frequent updates as we move through the process.
